9. Celia Dodd e-mail, dated Oct 14, 2002.
added noted from Karen Hanna - Celia Dodd specializes in the Godson name throughout the world. This is what Celia has decided as a probable match of John:
born 5 Sep 1905 and baptized on 12 Sep at Cottingham Hallgate Zion Church near Kingston-upon-Hull in East Yorkshire, England. The son of Thomas Godson and Mary (nee Dalton). He had one brother called Joseph. The fact that your John called his first son Thomas, his second son John and his third son Joseph makes me feel that this could be your ancestor. But it will probably never be possible to prove it Celia has sent a chart which shows John's ancestry tree.

John Godson and Mary Brooks are buried in Lloydtown just north of Nobleton. This was the first Anglican Church in the area and was serviced by Circuit riders. These are ministers that travelled to many areas and possibly would get in an area only once or twice a year for Baptisms, Marriages etc resulting in sparce records.
