Alberta (Bertie) Brentnell (nee Allcock) passed away peacefully May 3, 2011 at the age of 91. She is predeceased by her husband Jim, parents Clifton and Nora, son Robert, brothers Norman and Arthur and sister Viola King. Bertie will be lovingly remembered by son Dennis (Anne), daughter-in-law Linda, sister Leah Harlton, seven grandchildren, sixteen great-¬grandchildren, one great-great grandson, nieces, nephews and friends. Bertie was born in 1920 in Belle Plaine. She married Jim Brentnell in 1939 and they celebrated their 71st Wedding Anniversary in 2010. They raised their sons Dennis and Bob in Belle Plaine and farmed in the area for many years. They moved to Moose Jaw in 1977. Bertie was an accomplished pianist/organist and shared her gift with many including the Belle Plaine United Church and Saint Andrews United Church. Bertie created works of art with her beautiful petit point pictures. Family was very important to Bertie; she enjoyed watching everyone grow and delighted in their accomplishments. Thank you to the Extendicare staff for the wonderful care provided to Bertie. The Celebration of Bertie’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Monday May 9, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorialization will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sask. Heart & Stroke Foundation, 279 Third Ave. N., Saskatoon, S7K 2H8. In living memory of Bertie, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Individual Note: 1. From Alberta Report March 10, 1997: DIED:NLeslie Cluff, 75 who had a 48-year career as a teacher and school administrator; of cancer in Medicine Hat. Born in Matador, Saskatchewan, he graduated from Saskatoon Normal School in 1943. He began teaching in Forgan, and taught and served as principal in other Saskatchewwan schools. He later earned a bachelor degrees in history and educacation from the University of Saskatchewan. From 1950 to 1990 he taught in Medicine Hat. He retired from Vincent Massey School wher he spent 23 years.

passed away in Langley on July 21, 2008. Isabel was the youngest daughter in a family of seven, born to Isaac and Maud Clements at Killarney, Manitoba in 1916. She is survived by her loving husband Leslie, son Don (Lynn), daughter Marcia (Geoffrey) Orrell, grandchildren Tracey (Mike) Murrel, Glen (Natalia) Yule, Dean (Naomi) Orrel, Alana Orrel and husband Kevin McLeod, two great granddaughters, Renea Orrel and Melissa Murrell, thre great grandsons, Cassidy Murrell, Jack Orrell Mcleod and Samuel Orrell, one sister Lillie Forster, several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate iiiiiiiiIsabel's life will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2008 at 2:30pm from Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Hwy, Langley. Cremation Interment to take place in Langley Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of floweres, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Covenant House.
