     1. Examiner Banner Wed. May 26 2004:- Dorothy May Barnes (nee Ruttan) passed away at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge on Tuesday, May 18 2004. She was born at Ryde Township on May 8 1924. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Wm Alfred Barnes. The two were married on May 15 1943 at Gravenhurst. From this union came their children Priscilla, Lorne, Marie, Donna, Wayne, and Ron. Dorothy was not only predeceased by her husband but also her daughter Gloria and by her two sons Roger and Brian.
She is survived by her sisters Irene Laycock and Verna Brittain and by her brother Ken Ruttan. She is predeceased by her sister Grace Stoner and by her brothers Rod and Eric Ruttan. Dorothy was the beloved and proud grandmother of 19 Grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
     In her early years she atteneded the Ryde Township Public School and lived all her life in Gravenhurst. She was proud to be a housewife and took great pride in taking care of her children, which in itself was a full time job. She enjoyed baking for her family and especiallly loved making them pies to which they looked forward and enjoyed.
     The family recieved friends at the W. J. Cavill Funeral Home in Gravenhurst on the evening of Thursday, May 20, 2004.
A chapel service was held to celebrate the life of Dorothy May Barnes on Friday May 21 2004. Interment took place at Mickle Memorial Cemetery beside her late husband who predeceased her in 1993. Rev. Johanne Hills officiated at the chapel service.
Pallbearers assisting at the funeral were James Clement, Dwayne Barnes, Ken McDonald, Brian Barnes, Michael McDonald, Ian McDonald and honorary pallbearer was Adam Jones.
     Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family"

     1. Obituary Ralph Hudson...Tuesday June 14 2005 Dauphin Herald...It is with sadness, we announce the passing of our brother and uncle, Ralph at St. Paul's Home on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the age of 71 years.
Ralph was born to Albert and Vivian Hudson in East Bay, Manitoba on June 26 1933. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, Bert, Edward and Howard and one sister Laura Green. He is survived by 3 brothers, Wilfred (Lou), Edgar (Gertrude), Ernie and 4 sisters, Alice Hogarth, Nora Smart (Bill), Mabel Wells (Harry), and Ethel Hominick (Bob Johannesen). Ralph is survived by his brother-in-law Rudy Hominick as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
Ralph attended Blue Bell School for a short time. He was always a happy loving person, being very helpful doing chores while living at home on the farm in East Bay. In 1957 he moved with his parents to Dauphin where he attended A. R. C. Industries for over 30 years. During those years he was noted for his love of western music and for making mats. In 1984 he moved from his parents home and began living in group homes. In 2000 he moved to St. Paul's Home where he lived until the time of his passing. The family is grateful to all those who have taken such good care of Ralph since he left his parents home.
The funeral service was held on Wed. June 8, 2005 from the Dauphin Riverside Evergreen Chapel with Captain Peter Mitchell officiating. Sandra Dowhan was the organist and lead the congregation in the hymn "The Old Rugged Cross". Captain Mitchell played the guitar to lead the congregation in "Amazing Grace". Lloyd Hudson was the urn bearer. Interment Dauphin Riverside Cemetery. "
