Individual Note: 1. Obituary: Walkerton August 24, 1975: John Pinkerton, Born in Town, Dies at Age 45. A former Paisley area man, John Loyd Pinkerton, 45 , of Arnprior, died Saturday August 9th. Mr. Pinkerton was born May 11, 1930, in Walkerton, the son of Lloyd and Christina Pinkerton. He lived in the Paisley area for 25 years. He was a member of the First Canadian Guards of the Canadian Armed Services for 10 years, during which he spent 3 years in Germany. He returned from Germany in 1961, and moved to Arnprior where he worked for Union Carbide. Mr. Pinkerton is survived by his wife, the former Jeanette Johnston, daughters, Peggy, Mrs. Ron Cameron of Ottawa, Cathy, Mrs Michael Koetoske, of Arnprior, Marjorie, of Toronto and son, David John of Oakville. Also surviving are brothers Jim of Pinkerton, Bill of Moosonee, Chuck and Bob both of Georgetown, Sister Mrs. Peggy Johnson, of North Bay and two grandchildren. Mr Pinkerton was a member of the United Church and the Hunters and Anglers Club in Arnprior.
