MARGARET ELLWOOD
"On Wed., February 9, 1983, at the Glenboro Memorial Hospital, Margaret Ellwood, eldest daughter of the late Alexander E. Johnson and Margaret Bjarnason, widow of George W. Ellwood.
Margaret was born in Glenboro on March 24, 1904. After her schooling, she worked as an operator for Manitoba Telephone System for 14 years. Following her marriage in 1937, they moved to Cypress River and then later moved to Portage la Prairie, where George and Margaret operated a business until George's death in 1969. Margaret was also predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. She was a fairthful member of her church and an active participant in community affairs. She was a dance teacher, an ardent supporter of the Glenboro hockey club, and an enthusiastic bridge player.
She is survived by her loving daughter Gail and son-in-law Gerry Stewart of Seattle and three grandchildren, Terry, Shannon and Tony. She is also survived by a sister, Villborg (Winnie) Wilton and a brother Arman Johnson and will be lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends.
Funeral Glenboro Lutheran, Rev. K. Surver, burial at Glenboro Cemetery.

Individual Note: 1. Obituary The Leader Post Nov 29, 1974: McLEOD - Nov. 27, 1974 , William Broughton McLeod, late of 1276 Queen Street, passed away at the age of 81. Mr. McLeod is survived by his wife Mrs. Wilma McLeod, two daughters, Mrs. D. R. (Lois) Church, North Bay, Ontario, and Mrs. John (Jean) Sterparn, Edmonton; 11 Grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral service on Saturday Nov. 30, at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of Lee Funeral Home, Dewdney and Cameron, with Reverend John Lekx, officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined and donations to favorite charity would be appreciated by the family.
