Individual Note: 1. Alexander Ledgerwood FOSTER was born January 2, 1882 in Durham, England to parents John FOSTER and Kathyryn - Catherine LEDGERWOOD (born Scotland). - K. Hanna
2. In 1912 he attended theology school and on September 2, 1912, in Mount Tolmie, British Columbia Alexander Ledgerwood FOSTER, age 31, married Janet Porteous, age 32, residence West Calder Scotland. (BC Archives Marriage #1912-09-22324).
3. In the 1946 and 48 Henderson's directory for Port Hammond is Rev. Alex Foster, Baptist
4. December 1949 Rev. A.L. Foster officiating at Joseph Brooks' funeral (1st husband of Sarah). Janet Foster, age 67, died May 13, 1949 at Port Hammond (BC Death Registration 1949-09-5006).
5. In 1954 at the time of death for his second wife Sarah they were living in Armstrong. The 1955 Armstrong Directory has Rev. A.L. Foster, retired.
6. At the age of 92, Alexander Ledgerwood FOSTER died on June 5, 1974 at Pouce Coupe Hospital, Pouce Coupe due to cardiac arrest, also with condition of senility. (BC Death Registration 74-09-008932) Usual residence of Hiawatha Park, Kelowna. BC. His daughter Janette P. Filer of Dawson Creek was the informant. Janette lists Alexander as a clergyman, widow of wife Janet Porteous. Buried on June 7 at Peachland Cemetery, Kamloops. Funeral Director Dawson Creek.

Died age 52 years 3 month 4 days at home 420 Hawkes Ave on November 16th, 1949 due to Bronch pneumonia with acute pulmonary oedema, acute glomerular nephritis, and
marked fatty degenteration of liver. Informant Todd Brooks, son, of above address. Burial November 18, 1949 at Mountain View.
Death record has status Divorced but in the Vancouver Henderson Directory she is listed as widow: Brooks, Pearl- wid - G - 420 Hawkes
