4. Wedding Announcement: Cluff - Pinkerton - A very pretty wedding took place on January 15th at Hillhurst, the home of Mrs. Jos. Pinkerton, when her youngest daughter, Olive Myrtle was Married to Mr. Reginald Cluff of Swift Current. The bride was given away by her brother Matthew and looked charming in a gown of blue shot silk, carrying a large boquet of Roses and Lilies of the Valley. She also wore the bridegroom's gift, a beautiful necklace and plaque pendant of pearls. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Mr. Johnson of Killarney, and Miss Ella Tweed played the wedding march. The bridegroom's gift to the organist was a very pretty pearl brooch.
AFter the ceremony about twenty guests sat down to the wedding breakfast. The young couple received many handsome presents, among them a substantial cheque. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Cluff left for California where they will spend two or three month. Mrs Cluff travelled in a pretty navy blue suit with mink furs. 1913.

7. Newspaper Obituary - Rex Cluff
Rex Cluff, Matador Dies September 30, 1935. Another old-time resident of the Matador District was called to the realms of Eternity at an early hour Monday Morning, Sept. 30th 1935, when John R. "Rex" Cluff passed away in St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon. The deceased had been seriously ill early in the year but recovered sufficiently to go about his farm duties. His condition again became serious Friday and was rushed to Saskatoon, where it was found that nothing could be done for him. Following a short service in McKagues' Funeral Home, Saskatoon, conducted by Canon Haslam of Emmanuel College, the body was brought to the United Church, Kyle, where the funeral service was held. Rev. R. E. Howell, vicar of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Tuberose, officiated. Interment was made in Horse Butte Anglican Cemetery. Born at Pilot Mound, Man. in 1882, he moved to the Killarney district where he lived until 1909, when he settled in what is now the Matador district. He is survived by his widow, formerly Myrtle Pinkerton of Killarney, whom he married in 1913; two daughters, M. Louise and Laura Muriel; four sons, Douglas B., H. Andrew and Leslie P., all at home and Clarence R. of Seamans, Sask. Also four sisters, Mrs. A. Davidson, Brucefield, Ont., Mrs. Robt. Watson, Killarney; Mrs. R. W. Smith, Regina; and Mrs. R. H. Hart, Winnipeg; and two brothers, Dr. W.A. Cluff, Saskatoon, and George Cluff, Killarney. Kind and generous, the late Mr. Cluff loved and lived for his home and
family and was highly esteemed by all who knew him as was evidenced by the many floral tributes that covered the casket and included wreaths and sprays from Amy, Herb, Myrtle and Pat; Hart and Smith Families; Bert Larter and all; Shaler and Wilson families; Rev. R. E. Howell; Mr. and Mrs. A. Knox; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. ôeston; Mrs. L. Mann; Mr. and Mrs. E. Pederson and family; Mr. and Mrs. Gunacker; Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Guderson and Ladies of Kyle. The pall bearers, all old-time friends and neighbors were: Donald Lonsdale, George Weston, P. McGregor, H. Hodgins, Bert Larte and Sam Willsmore. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were: Mrs. R. H. Hart and Miss L. Pinkerton, Winniper; R. W. Smith, Regina; Elroy and George Pinkerton, Killarney and Clarence R. Cluff, Semans.
