     1. BC Death Registration: 74-09-18531 Joseph Robert BROOKS was born September 27, 1913 in Pence Sask to Joseph BROOKS and Sarah GUIRE, both born in Ontario. He married Nina Esmond VEINOTTE and they resided at 20972 River Road, Haney. Joseph was employed as a custodian for the School Board. On December 10, 1974 he died outside of the hospital from a myocardial infarction that was diagnosed 6 weeks earlier. He had arteriosclerosis years previous. On December 13 he was cremated at Vancouver Crematorium and buried later at the Maple Ridge Cemetery. Informant was Robert B Brooks, son, 11689 River Wynd Road, Vancouver.

Survived by his loving wife, Nina; 1 son, Bob, Haney; 1 daughter, Miss Betty Brooks, Sacremento, Calif.; 1 brother, Burn, Haney; 2 sisters, Mrs. Breeze Thomson, Haney; Mrs. A (Grace) Finnie, Hammond. Service will be conducted on Friday, December 13 at 1 p.m. from the Burnett Baptist Church, 11859 Laity St., Haney,, Pastor H.L. Johnson officiating. Cremation. Donations may be made to the B.C. Heart Foundation, 1181 W. Broadway, Vancouver or Bibles may be placed as a continuing memorial through the Gideons.

3. Maple Ridge Cemetery: 214th and Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge City clerk gave info for grave locations. Viewed cemetery on July 5, 2003. K Hanna Joseph Robert died in Haney, was cremated at Vancouver Crematorium. No mention on his death record that his ashes were at Maple Ridge. One row east of Ceme 2, Bl 14, Lot 5, Gr 1 (which is his father's grave site).
