For Dad:
A journey is cancelled half-way through, A savior slips from the earth's stong grasp.
Circumstances beyond our control, Reasons unexplained.
We lose what we cherish most, Finding solace in our memories.
An inner sensitivity and compassion, Masked by an abrasive exterior of responsibility.
Relying on himself, on his strength, Building a world for his family.
Sacrificing, organizing, perfectioning, At last finding peace within.
A brilliant smile, mischievous eyes, Light our path through this life.
Teaching us right from wrong, Acting as key to our success.
Father, husband, son, brother, Loved by all, missed by all.
Now a cold hand, an empty gaze, Why one so young, so wise?
His body is shipped to a better place, But his spirit remains.
He lingers like an angel, Hired to protect.
No longer with us, But still alive in our hearts.
